doLithe Security Practices

Internet security has always been an important issue to consider when choosing an online solution provider. doLithe understands that security is vital in this age of online business and e-commerce.

To ensure the privacy of our client's information and the security of electronically transferred data such as credit card numbers, doLithe utilises SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This is a widely accepted and supported standard in Internet security.

Our 128bit Key offers virtually unbreakable encryption that ensures your data is safe from prying eyes. All sensitive data is stored in an encrypted database providing extended protection in the unlikely case of a breach in security.

How it Works

The SSL Protocol is used to provide privacy and reliability between two communicating applications. The protocol is composed of two layers; a reliable transport protocol (e.g., TCP), and the SSL Record Protocol. The SSL Record Protocol is used for encapsulation of various higher-level protocols. One such encapsulated protocol, the SSL Handshake Protocol, allows the server and client to authenticate each other. It also negotiates an encryption algorithm and cryptographic keys before the application protocol transmits or receives its first byte of data. One advantage of SSL is that it is application protocol independent.
